Fit on the road.
Healthy in field service.

The employees who travel most are the least protected.
Service technicians and field staff sit in planes, cars and hotels – often more than 100 days a year. Hours of sitting, jet lag, irregular meals, too little sleep and the pressure to deliver at the customer. The result: back problems, sick days and people who don't want to do the job any more at 45. I've experienced it myself – as a technician and later as the manager who received the sick notes.
A technician who knows how to stay healthy on the road is the cheapest health protection a service company can buy.
An hour and a half of knowledge, an hour and a half of doing.
In the meeting room in Solothurn. Medical and movement expertise, broken down to everyday travel:
- Flight: thrombosis, dehydration, jet lag, sitting posture
- Car: back, concentration, break rhythm, food at motorway services
- Hotel: sleep, dinner, alcohol, missing routine
- Food and fluids on the road – what's realistically doable
- Stress and recovery between two assignments
- The personal risk strategy: everyone leaves with their own plan
In a gym in the Solothurn region. Not with machines, but with what's available on the road:
- Exercises for the airplane seat and the wait at the gate
- Ten minutes in the hotel room: mobilisation, strengthening, stretching with towel, chair and door frame
- The motorway-services routine on long drives
- Breathing and relaxation before the customer appointment
- What belongs in the travel bag – and what doesn't
- Every exercise is practised, corrected and handed out as a card
